Technical Description of Ship Airbag Hauling-on-Slip Process

The ship airbag hauling-on-slip process is a key technical solution in the modern shipbuilding, repair and maintenance field. It uses specialized airbag assemblies to realize the safe transfer of ships from water areas to shore slip platforms, replacing the traditional heavy machinery hauling-on-slip mode. It combines high efficiency and safety, and is suitable for hauling-on-slip operations of various merchant ships, engineering ships and special-purpose ships.

I. Core Operation Process

This process follows the principle of "positioning first, step-by-step support", with the core steps divided into two phases:

  1. 1. Rolling Airbag Positioning Phase: Before the operation, high-strength rolling airbags are pre-arranged at the bottom of the ship based on the ship's tonnage, draft depth and shore slip parameters. By accurately adjusting the airbag pressure, fine-tuning of the ship's horizontal posture is achieved, ensuring that the ship's central axis is completely aligned with the shore slip track. This solves the pain points of difficult positioning and long time consumption in traditional processes, with a positioning accuracy of ±50mm.
  2. 2. Lifting Airbag and Blocking Phase: After the ship is positioned, switch to the lifting airbag operation link. Deploy the lifting airbags at the key support points of the ship (such as the keel and bulkhead reinforcement areas), and inflate them simultaneously to achieve stable lifting of the ship until the bottom of the ship is out of the water and reaches the support height of the shore slip. Subsequently, rigid blocks are arranged to complete fixed support, preventing damage to the ship structure caused by uneven local stress.

II. Core Advantages of the Process

  • Wide Adaptability: No modification to the operation site is required; it can adapt to complex scenarios such as muddy shorelines and temporary docks, and is compatible with ships of 500-10,000 tonnage.
  • Safety and Reliability: Flexible contact is adopted throughout the whole process, with a 100% ship structure protection rate, no risk of mechanical impact, and an operation accident rate of less than 0.1%.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Compared with traditional processes, the operation cycle is shortened by more than 40%, and the hauling-on-slip operation for a single ship can be controlled within 4-8 hours.

III. Application Support

This process is supported by customized airbag selection, on-site technical guidance and after-sales maintenance services. All airbag assemblies have passed the ISO 14409 Ship and Marine Technology Standard certification, ensuring that the entire operation process complies with national shipbuilding and repair safety specifications, and providing customers with a stable and efficient hauling-on-slip solution.
